left steps, owl statue with trad witches broom on right
further down a scare evil spirits Vietnamese mask
fangs, abstract same as Christ left Motley Crue Satanic pentagram painted soft pink frame,
a curbed plastic candle no longer electrical
the real kicker beside eyes the red room
table there lay in blue silk and tiny neon multi-colored rubber bands, swiped from Michaels, bands like guts? as big as pinky finger
with 80s portable TV turned on endless jet stream static
same sound as freight trucks route 46
when you sleep here 
like an art installation 
old purple witch in garden pot, trad rep,
red lantern still hangs, always
red plastic bag flag hung black pole foot of the driveway
the whole scene designed to disorient the senses
see i a forgot, mentions the alien canteen baptism statue with 
it’s head upside down, party rainbow bracelets necklace praying with golden fractured disco ball 
and blue clay molded into prayer book
the stratagem the classic bait and switch
wonder woman answers the knock
trick or treat they see a babe
adolescents rendered wordless gawkers 
meanwhile at the back of the house in the kitchen 
with amp and microphone plugged in 
loud disturbing suburban feedback reverb 
i start the screaming, screeching 
“WHY ARE YOU HERE ARGHHH!”

i come running from the kitchen screaming bathed red light
while pot boiling greens pan greasing muscles
goal, scare the crap out of the kids 
give them the GMOs, pretzel styled colored goldfish
matches the soft balloon lawn ornament ghouls 
parents risk kids helium hello came at your own accord, trad,
scare the crap out of the child
leaves fall dead an impression
